If you have been to an exhibition and seen Rue Stanley’s artworks in person then I am sure like many, you are intrigued as to the steps Rue takes to create her beautiful mixed-media artworks. And if your desire to experiment with acrylics is growing, then you may be interested to know that Rue is offering an Experimental Mixed Media Painting Workshop at The Horton in Epsom.
With her March date selling out within the first 24 hours of ticket sales being added to The Horton website, Rue has added an extra date on the 18th April 2024. The all-day class runs from 10.30 am – 4.30 pm at a cost per person of £85, which includes all materials and an art pack to take home. There will be a break for lunch, and a chance to buy lunch from The Horton’s on-site cafe.
Guided by artist Rue, you’ll explore the possibilities of materials and techniques that allow your imagination to flow. You will have the opportunity to use some unusual products such as alcohol and gold leaf to complement your work. Unlock endless possibilities with an array of materials at your disposal including coloured gesso, acrylic paints, Isopropyl alcohol, acrylic liquid medium, metallic paints, and shimmering metal leaf.
The course covers many aspects and questions relating to mixed media, including: –
- Would you like to express yourself and experiment with painting?
- Are you curious about the mixed-media products that are available to use with acrylic?
- The option to produce three different artworks over the course of the day.
- An art pack to take home.
