I am an artist who likes to explore a range of mediums. My preference though is for pencil art, creating fantasy, sci-fi and urban styled cityscapes.
Big Sci-Fi and Fantasy Fan:
The greatest inspirations for me are the numerous video games, comics and films I have watched, mainly from the 1980 – 1990 era of science fiction. This helped influence the imaginative and energetic designs I am now creating.
The Need for Clean:
As someone with Asperger’s, I prefer to work with smooth, clean lines and good control over what I put on my paper. Creating messy art can be complicated to me when trying to get something to look just right. I like to draw my artwork without heavily relying upon rulers to give them a more organic look. The pencil is a great tool to use as I can exert the fine motor control I am looking for over where and how I want things to go, including the shading and highlights which I like to focus on the most, to help make my drawings stand out.
